‘Major’ new housing development announced for Ayrshire village
Land at Kilmarnock Road and Tarbolton Road, Dundonald, have been earmarked for the proposed development.
A new housing development could be coming to Ayrshire.
Ayrshire Live can reveal that a parcel of land at Kilmarnock Road and Tarbolton Road, Dundonald, has been earmarked for the proposed development.
It is unclear at this stage how many homes are being proposed over the 12.5 hectare site.
According to papers, the application is being classed as a ‘major development.’
The agent in the proposal is Denham Youd, based in Ayr’s Wellington Square and the applicant is Drongan-based Hope Consultancy Ltd.
The agent has already submitted a Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) to build residential housing and “associated infrastructure. “
The application has since been approved and the next stage will be to reveal further details during two public consultation events.
Ayrshire Live can further reveal that the two public consultation events will take place at Montgomerie Hall, 60 Main Street, Dundonald between 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday, April 29 and Thursday, May 15. Members of the public are being invited to attend, along with the community council, and a representative from Dundonald Primary School.
A supporting document states: “Comments and feedback from the public will be invited, with forms provided at the consultation event. Feedback can also provided be electronically by emailing dundonald@denhamyoud.com for a period of seven days AFTER the consultation event has taken place.”
There will be an opportunity to make representations to South Ayrshire Council’s Planning service once a formal application is lodged.
