McFly’s Tom Fletcher has revealed he was rushed to hospital on Monday.

The guitarist took to social media to reveal he was suffering from a flare up due to the autoimmune condition that he battles – he suffers from uveitis, which causes inflammation inside the eye.

The NHS states that symptoms of the condition include sensitivity to light, blurred vision and pain – as well as mentioning that the condition should be seen to as soon as possible when symptoms appear.

Others who experience this condition can also suffer from loss of vision, and in the worst circumstances, uveitis can even cause blindness.

The condition often gets better quickly if treated as soon as possible, however it can come back at any time.
